ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
St Nicholas Church, Little Chishill, wants everyone to be able to use our website and share in the story of our church, whatever their needs. This is a small parish church cared for by a small community, and we have built this site so that as many people as possible can enjoy it.
What we have tried to do
-
Keep the writing clear and easy to read.
-
Use generous text sizes and simple, uncluttered layouts.
-
Add descriptions (alt text) to our photographs, so screen-reading software can read them aloud.
-
Choose colours with good contrast, so text is easy to see.
-
Make the site work on phones, tablets and computers.
Where we know we fall short
We share a great deal of historic material, and some of it is not fully accessible. Scanned documents, old parish registers, handwritten records and photographs of memorials can be hard for screen-reading software to interpret, and some of our video does not yet have captions. We are a volunteer-run church, and we improve these things as time allows.
If you need help
If there is anything on this site you cannot access, or you would like information in a different format such as large print or a plain document, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.

We welcome any feedback on how we can make this website easier to use. Thank you for visiting, and we hope to welcome you to the church itself.
